what is going with the make a new friend feature?
It's a bit taxing on the database at present. At this point, I'm unsure if we'll be able to bring it back in its present form, although alternatives are being explored. Remember that when we had it, the feature would take quite a few seconds to load.

quite a few seconds? lol try almost a minute. yeah, it really is an awesome feature, but unfortunately, it is quite taxing.
I liked that feature but it was kind of slow on my computer! I hope it can be brought back! Or if not something simular.
I liked the idea behind it, and I wouldn't go so far as a minute, but I'm guessing at least 30 seconds. Took forever.

As a possible extension to this feature, I was wondering the following:
How possible would it be to also show you on which other people's lists you are?

This would require calculating lists for all people, which is a pretty intensive process. It would be somewhat difficult.
It was pretty cool, but maybe find other ways to see who has the same intrestes as you. Such as music, hobbies, etc. It may take work, but it would give each person a better understanding of each other. Maybe we will be able to make new friends that way.
On the statistics page you can still find a list of who you send the most quicknotes to and a list of who sends the most to you. I know it's not quite the same as the make a new friends feature, but if they can't bring that back, at least this is something.
This feature has been removed from the main page.
That really sucks. I did like that...Hey, how about this from a database prospective. Keep in mind I'm not a coder.
